During our stay in Toronto, we met some of our old friends. They all had their own families. We were so happy to meet again and talked and have fun together. We still had a lot of friends in Toronto that we couldn't be able to meet this time. May God bless our friends & their families in Toronto.

Family Reunion

I have not been back to Toronto since Eunice was 9 months old. This time I had the chance to go with Isaac and Eunice to see my grandma. She is 93-year old. In my mind, she was quite young but this time, she is getting old. Well! It's normal. I still remembered last time I asked my grandma how old she was. Her answer was 88. Then I kept on telling people that she was 88 every year. She is old but still healthy. Thanks God! There are some of the pictures.

During the time in Toronto...

Andrew has to go to Lakefield for a few days and we stayed in Mandy's place. This was the first time for Isaac and Eunice to "sleepover" in someone's place. They were excited and started to look around the house. Very funny. When they saw the room, they knew that was their sleeping room and put everything into the room. Eunice and Andrew were sleeping on the mattress on the ground and Isaac and I were sleeping in the bed. I was afraid what would happening when Andrew left us for a few days and Eunice had to sleep by herself. She used to co-sleep with me since birth.



The answer for the sleep problem that I worried was solved by itself. Eunice knew that Andrew had to go to work. (I kept on telling her that daddy will go to work and she has to sleep by herself.) She behaved very well and slept through night. I was worried too much.

Trip to Toronto (Departure day - Day 1)

Andrew has a business trip to Lakefield, Ontario. This time I asked him to bring Isaac and Eunice to go with him so that I can visit my grandma (93-year old). Isaac and Eunice were very excited that he can fly on the plane. We departed on April 26 at 7:00am. Andrew and I woke up at around 4:00am to get ready for ourselves first. At 4:30am, we woke Eunice and Isaac up. The sky was still dark. They jumped out from the bed without crying. They knew that they were going to Toronto. Very excited. One more excited thing was we were taking yellow cab to the airport. They were happy about it.

We checked in the luggages and it was not 5 o'clock yet. So we bought breakfast for them. Eunice and Isaac were totally awake. After breakfast, we went to the secuity section. At first, Eunice was a little bit nervous. It was because we had to remove all the backpacks, took off our jacket and walked through the secuity gate one by one. When the secuity officer asked Eunice to go through the gate, she was so calm and smart. Then it was Isaac's turn. After going through the gate, he ran to Eunice and held Eunice's hand (I asked him to do it before he entered the gate.) He was smart too.

We were in the waiting room and waiting for the plane and took some photos.

On the plane, Eunice and Isaac slept for more than 1 hour. Then they had some drinks, bread, and played toys and did some coloring. They were super good on the plane (no yelling or crying or asked for walking around the plane.)

We arrived Toronto at 2:30pm and head to Andrew's sister's place for a quick rest and then we went out for dinner.

Pumpkin Patch

Eunice's preschool went to have the Pumpkin patch at Frog Hollow neighbour house. She was so excited because she never had this activity before. After the patch, she told him that she had the face painting on both cheeks and hands. She had snacks at school; games at the Frog Hollow and gifts from the teachers. She was so happy and tired.

Oh! I forgot to mention the pumpkin. Of course, she had a big round pumpkin from the patch. She brought it to grandma's house that night. I asked her whether she wanted to leave it to grandma and she said yes. After dinner, she changed her mind and wanted to bring home. We had to think how to deal with this big round pumpkin. Any suggestions..!!!

Church Walkathon

Our whole family joined the Church Walkathon this year. It was a very beautiful day with a very nice Sun. Thanks God for the weather. Andrew got a bicycle from his co-worker for Eunice. We bought a new Princess Helmet for her.

We took the shortest path 1.9km. This is the first time for Eunice to ride on a bicycle. She was excited. It took a while for her to know how to control the bike. I had to carry Isaac as his "bicycle".

PNE

We went to the PNE on Monday morning. We gave Isaac 2 puffs of Ventolin and we were ready to go. Isaac's coughing was 90% recovery (only a few coughs during the whole day). We arrived PNE about 10:30am and got a residence parking which was cheaper than the public parking.

We walked to PNE. Eunice met 2 of her junior class classmates. We walked around and had hotdog for our snack. Then we went to the farmhouse. Eunice was so excited because we went to the Maplewood Farm about 3 weeks ago and she liked to see all the animals. She took a picture with a big fat turkey.

Then Eunice kept on asking us where was the playland. She looked at the map and pointed to me. I wanted to go there (playland). She was so surprised to see the Spiderman (Black & Red) on the ride. She picked a few rides that she liked. Really enjoy to play. We spent some $ for the stuff animals too.

Isaac was watching and only had one ride. He did not have much interests on the ride this time but the Superdog show...

New Car

Yvonne bought a new car for us. It was really fun. Easy to operate. Even Eunice and Isaac were able to drive it. Eunice controlled the car even better than Andrew and me. She loved it.

We went to QE Park on Aug 11th. The weather was so nice. We also took some more pictures with the beautiful flowers.

Pacific Science Centre - Bubbles

Eunice and Isaac enjoyed the BIG bubble pool at the Science Centre.

Pacific Science Centre - Dinosaur Skeleton

After the IMAX movie, Eunice loved to walk like a Dinosaur (Dino Dance). Actually she did not like the movie that much but she liked the skeleton.

Pacific Science Centre - IMAX Movie

On the last day of the trip, we went to the Pacific Science Centre. It was hugh. We didn't have time to finish the whole centre. We went to see the IMAX Dinosaurs movie first. It's the 3D Movie. Eunice and Isaac had to wear the special glasses. They liked to play with the glasses. We bought a bag of popcorn just in case they cried in the theatre. It was the first time for them to watch movie. When the movie started, things changed. Isaac wanted me to hold him tight and Eunice hide her head to Daddy. Why??? The BIG DINOSAUR was coming out from the screen and the sound was LOUD. Then I felt something warm from Isaac's bottom. He was peeing...
They stayed in their seats until end of the movie. After that, I asked Isaac whether he liked the movie or not. He said "no"

Isaac - Punishment...

Isaac was having fun opening the door of the microwave. We kept on telling him not to do it but he refused to listen.

This was his punishment... Time out for ..... minutes (I couldn't remember how long). During the time-out, he made the following funny faces...

Trip to Seattle Aquarium

We went to Seattle Aquarium on the second day of the trip. It was small compared with the one in Vancouver but we still had a great time.


Look at Eunice's face painting. At first, we asked her to do the face painting. She refused to do it. When we walked away from the painting table, she looked back. I asked her whether she wanted to do it or not. She nodded her head. She picked the green color octopus. Really cool. Then she looked at herself on the mirror all the time and asked me whether it was nice or not.

Trip to Seattle - Woodland Zoo

If you have a chance to view Andrew's Blog , then you should know that our family had a trip to Seattle for 3 days. It was very excited. We went to different places such as Zoo, Aquarium, Farmers market, Science Centre and Outlet. Eunice and Isaac behaved very well during the trip but were exhausted.

Eunice and Isaac had to wake up at 7:00am and we left our place at 7:30am. Eunice asked me where we were going. I told her that we were going to the Zoo. Then she asked whether we would see the elephant or not. I told her that I did not know. She kept on asking and asking and looking forward to go to the Zoo.

We arrived the Zoo at 10:30am (not too bad). Eunice and Isaac had a short nap in the car (maybe wake up too early!!!) That's good because they had strength and energy to enjoy the walk. We ate a small snack and started to walk.

Finally we saw the elephant. Eunice was so happy and she said "Just like Barney's movie ---> Let's go to the Zoo"

Trip to Space Centre

Eunice went to the summer school in July for 3 weeks. She was quite enjoyed it. On July 16th, she went to the Space Centre with her classmates. So Good! She got on the school bus again. When Isaac saw the school bus, he said, "sister... fell down." He remembered last time when Eunice got on the bus, she fell down from the bus on the way back home. Don't think that little kids have no memory. They remember things more than we do. When I picked up Eunice, her hair was all wet. She told me that she had a great time running and playing at the park outside the Space centre. Then she took a nap for 3 hours.

Bear Creek Park

We went to the Bear Creek Park for the train ride. Eunice and Isaac were so excited. After the train ride, they were playing at the park. Thanks God for the good weather.
