Isaac's Christmas party at Brainbridge

Isaac's first Christmas party at Brainbridge preschool. He was excited. Daddy took a day off to come with us. Really fun!!!

Happy 5th Birthday - Eunice

Eunice had a very wonderful birthday this year. She invited two old classmates (Harmony & Victoria) from Brainbridge and her cousins (Hannah & Coleman) to Build-a-Bear Workshop for a birthday party. First they had a warm-up time. Then everyone chose a bear. The leader brought them jumping around the shop. So funny! They all sat down and decorated the bears. Everyone was so happy about their own bear. After the birthday party, they all came to our house for dinner and played together. Oh! I forgot to mention about the birthday cake. Eunice chose a black forest cake. The kids liked it a lot.

Flower Girl

Eunice is the flower girl at Donna and Felix's wedding for the first time. She was very nervous and shy.

Isaac's 3rd Birthday Party

Time flies... Isaac is not a baby anymore. He is 3 now. This few days he kept on singing "Happy Birthday" to himself. When we asked him how old Isaac is, he said he was 2 but coming to be 3. Kids are so smart. We set up a birthday party for Isaac. Before the birthday party, I brought Isaac and Eunice to a dallor store to buy some stuffs for the birthday party. I saw a musical candle. I asked Isaac whether he liked it or not. Then he started to sing "Happy Birthday" song to himself again. We asked his cousins (Hannah & Coleman), friends (Kit, Yvonne, Harry- I should say "mom and dad's friends; Clement (Isaac's friend), grandma, uncle and aunt to come to our house.

"Look at my cake with "Thomas the tank engine" besides it. Where is my "3" musical candle?"

Easter Egg Hunt

This was the second year we went to have the Easter Egg Hunt. It was interesting because last year we were playing outdoor but this year we have to do it indoor. Not as fun as last year but it was OK for the kids. When Isaac stepped in the community centre, the first thing that he spotted was the floor hockey. He quickly picked up the stick and started playing.

Happy Chinese New Year!! It is the Year of Rat!

Christmas Party at Preschool

Eunice had a Christmas Celebration at her Preschool on Dec 20. So how she got a stomach flu that day. She was vomiting whenever after eating and was complaining her stomach plan. When I told her that not to go for the Christmas Party. She refused. She was looking forward the Christmas party for the whole week. Anyway, we end up going to the school. She was excited in the first part of the program (a skit). The skit was about the born of Jesus. She was a pinky pig. I didn't take the photo of her because we were recording video.

Then we were having a light dinner. Actually she did not want to eat but we knew that she was hungry. We tried to give her something to eat but after a while she vomit all out. We asked her to go home but she refused again. It was because the third part of the program was Christmas Carol. This was how she looked like during the Christmas Carol. Not too bad... At least she would do some action with the other kids.

Almost the end of the program, she came to me and said that her stomach was painful again. So we just went home just about 5 minutes earlier than other guests.

PS. This was not a very good Christmas party for her on that night. When she was getting better a few days later, she kept on singing the Christmas songs.

Christmas Tree

This year we set up the Christmas tree for Christmas. We haven't done it for 4 years. When we brought the tree out, Isaac and Eunice were so excited. They sat down quietly looking at us. They helped us to put the decoration on the tree. At last we turned all the light off and switched on the Christmas tree lighting. They were wow. "Amazing! So Beautiful!" We put the gate around the tree just in case they pull the tree down.

Daddy's birthday

We bought a bunch of flowers from Safeway. Eunice chose it and said that Daddy must like it.

I made a Jello cake with 2 layers. Isaac chose the Lime favour and said that Daddy must like it.

I invited the Lai's family for dinner with sushi and pasta. I think they all like it.

Remarks : Eunice asked me some funny questions. "Is Daddy only 1 year old? How old is Daddy? How come only ONE candle on the cake?" Can anyone answer this questions for me. HEHE!!!

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

Grandma bought some lanterns to Eunice and Isaac. We shared the lanterns with our neighbour. Eunice and Isaac ate the moon cake and they liked it a lot.

Skyler's Birthday Party

Skyler, Eunice's first friend from Brainbridge, had a birthday party on April 1st at the Kerrisdale Community Centre. He invited Eunice to join the party. Eunice was so excited because she never attended a birthday party before. We bought a present for him and Eunice helped me wrapping it. She wrote the birthday card for him.

When we arrived the community centre, both Eunice and Isaac were so happy to see all the balloons. They ran and ran and ran. Isaac was holding the blue one and then the green one while Eunice was running around.

Before cutting the birthday cake, they had some craft time and game time. Eunice was enjoying the craft. She made a green cap for herself. Then they played a few games together. Something happened at muscial chair game. First Eunice and the kids were sitting down on the chairs. When the music was playing, everyone stood up and walked around the chairs. Suddenly, the music stopped and everyone found a chair to sit. This was the rule of the game. However, when the music stopped, someone sat on Eunice's orginial seat. Eunice kept on saying, "Someone sit on my chair. Someone sit on my chair." I told her to find another one. Then she said, "Someone sit on my chair." and she cried out. Everyone was just laughing. She just didn't understand the rule. Anyway, after a while, she was OK again.

Birthday cake time. Eunice asked me, "Is this my birthday?" Very typical question from Eunice. She asked the same question all the time. Then I told her that it was not your birthday. You were attending Skyler's birthday party, remember. Skyler is turning 4 years old. Right now, if you ask Eunice how old she is. Eunice's answer will be "4".

I brought out the Chinese traditional clothes for Eunice and Isaac to try on this morning. Eunice was so happy and said "新年衫 ... " Isaac looked at me carefully how to put on the clothes. He touched Eunice's clothes and smiled. I think he liked the texture of the clothes. When I put on Isaac's one, he laughed and stood still.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all of you!
On the first day of 2007, we went to Mt. Seymour. Eunice and Isaac were so excited because they could see snow. It was raining below the mountain and when we reached the park, it was snowing. We only stayed outside for 5 minutes because of the cold weather. Of course, Isaac and Eunice were screaming in the car and wanted to stay longer. Then we went to Macdonald for lunch and they were happy again.

Isaac also has a BIG BIG wrapped gift...so he decided to sit on it.

After she openend it, it is a bucket of Play doh.....Wow!

Eunice is so happy tonight because she has received a Christmas gift.

Happy 3rd Birthday to Eunice & Hannah

"How come the birthday cake is so different from the others?" Eunice and Hannah were wondering when they were looking at birthday cake. Grandmother made a lemon cheesecake birthday cake for Eunice and Hannah this year. They were looking at the lemon jello on top of the cake.


Eunice was trying to taste the lemon jello. You can tell she is really like the JELLO cake.

I am ONE now......

Although we had some tough time for the whole month because of the little ones sickness, we had some fun time too. Isaac learnt a lot of things during this period. When we ask him where is 燈燈, he points to the light above. He knows how to turn on and off the light too. He likes to wash hands and brush teeth. Eunice and Isaac are very good companions. When Isaac is screaming for something, I will ask Eunice to play with him and he will turn from screaming to laughing immediately. Thanks God for giving Eunice such a caring and loving heart. Isaac loves babies too. Once He sees baby pictures, he loves to give them a kiss. One more thing... Isaac is having dinner and lunch together with us now. If he finishes his own portion and knows that everyone else is still eating, he will keep on asking for some more food until someone is cleaning up the table or we have to take him out of his high chair. But Isaac is not that fat... and He is not overweight either.
